And oh, the colours. They don’t behave like ordinary pigments. They ripple. They slide into each other with a kind of cosmic confidence,electric pink crashing into cyan tides, swirls of orange flickering like sparks. Around the eye, faceted shapes float aimlessly, like drifting thoughts or fragments of a dream trying to reform. You can almost hear them hum.
There’s a quiet rebellion in this piece. Nothing is soft, yet nothing is harsh. It exists in a world where emotion and illusion are the same thing where every glance means something but refuses to tell you what. It’s not meant to answer. It’s meant to stir.
So let it. Let it sit in your mind, play with your perception, and remind you that seeing isn’t just about light. It’s about feeling the glow behind it.
Artist’s Note
Honestly? This one just kind of appeared. I wasn’t chasing any concept, I was just following the colour flow, and the eye revealed itself. But when it did… I knew it had that weird energy. That “alive, but dreaming” vibe.
The lashes took the longest. I kept redrawing them until they felt like they were dancing around the edge of a hallucination. The colour palette was pure instinct. I didn’t plan the saturation or the glow, I just trusted the way it moved across the canvas.
Looking at it now, it feels like a portal to somewhere unstable, but beautiful. Like a lucid dream that doesn’t want to let go.
