Who I Am
The Artist Behind Highdellic

I'm Shaih - not my legal name but one I've used for decades. As the creator behind Highdellic, I've spent over 40 years in London developing my artistic vision.
My journey began in the early 2000s with traditional art training. I learned manual SLR photography when digital cameras were still uncommon, then spent three years mastering advanced techniques long before digital art tools became viable.
After studying architecture (until finances forced me to stop), I continued creating whenever possible. My work predates the current AI art explosion by decades - back when machine learning couldn't even reliably identify basic objects.
When the pandemic hit, I paused my art entirely. Last year, I returned with renewed purpose: to build something meaningful through Highdellic. Every piece you see here represents my obsession with the human eye, each one painstakingly crafted by hand using digital tools. No algorithms. No automation. Just the slow, deliberate work of creation.
The Highdellic Story
Our Origins
This project emerged from late-night conversations with fellow artists. We wanted to create something that celebrated genuine human creativity in an increasingly automated world.
Why Eyes?
Eyes fascinate me. They're universal yet deeply personal. Each piece I create explores this paradox through different styles and interpretations.

The Challenges
Like many artists, I've had to adapt to seismic changes - from the pandemic's disruptions to AI's rising influence. Through it all, I've remained committed to authentic, human-made art.
Common Questions
What's your creative process?
I work exclusively with digital drawing tools, treating my tablet like a traditional sketchbook. Each piece develops organically through countless iterations.
How do you approach commissions?
Every project begins with a conversation. I want to understand what my clients envision before putting pen to tablet.
Where is Highdellic headed?
I'm currently developing new collections while exploring collaborations with other artists who share my commitment to handmade digital art.
