They say if you look long enough, the eye begins to look back through a thousand mirrors thats fractures your soul into ribbons of light. At first it’s just colour, a blazing circle of scarlet melting into violet, then green, then gold. But after a moment you realize the iris is a doorway: each ring is a slice of you, refracted into new selves. You feel your heartbeat split, echoing in miniature universes behind those rainbow striations. The pastel swirls around it hum like distant tides, pulling at the edges of your mind until you drift, weightless, through prisms of your own making. By the time you blink, you’re someone else entirely—and the eye remains, ever‑watchful, waiting to scatter you again.
Artist’s Note
In this work I fused the organ of sight with a psychedelic spectrum, letting the iris explode from a molten core of scarlet into an iridescent halo. The thick black frame grounds the chaos, while the fluid pastel background whispers of subconscious currents. I wanted the viewer to feel both drawn in and unraveled, like staring into a reflection that reveals every hidden facet of your own perception.
