This piece feels like that hazy moment right before a memory fully forms. Echo of Light has this weird, almost living pulse to it. The colours don't just sit there; they seem to swirl into each other. The iris shifts from a deep ocean blue to these warm, dusty pinks and purples, like a sunset happening in slow motion. The eyelids curl around it like soft, metallic ribbons, each one catching the light differently, as if they’ve collected every bit of twilight they’ve ever seen.

Its gaze is what gets me. It’s not staring at you; it’s just… aware. Present. Those soft clouds drifting by make the whole thing feel weightless, like a thought floating in that quiet space just before sleep. And that little star up top? It’s small, but stubborn. A little nod to the idea that your imagination is always there, even when you’re not paying attention.

The whole thing just glows from the inside. It’s peaceful but mysterious, like a story you half remember from childhood. It feels familiar in a way you can't quite place.

Artist’s Note:
I painted Echo of Light during one of those late, quiet nights when sleep wouldn't come. I started just messing around with soft magentas and blues, trying to get that feeling when the world is asleep but your mind is still humming with light. The floating shapes and that little star weren't part of the plan. They just showed up and felt right. To me, they’re like the leftover fragments of a good dream that stick with you through the day.

This piece isn't about happiness or sadness, really. It's about that quiet, steady hum of awareness — the reassurance that light, in some form, always finds its way back to you.
