PsEyeFlow #23 – Nebula Gaze

She first appeared in my dreams – not as a person, but as an eye, suspended in space, glowing with the light of ten thousand distant stars. I couldn’t tell if she was watching me or if I was drifting through her. Her lashes curved like comets in slow motion, her pupil a black hole pulling in secrets I didn’t know I had. I called her Nebula Gaze.

The iris – electric blue, sharp as memory, deep as myth – flickered with emotion, framed by lashes dipped in sunset red. Around her, colour drifted like cosmic smoke: violet, peach, lemon-yellow, and whispers of pastel teal, all swirling through one another as if reality itself had been stirred by an unseen hand. She was both a guardian and a question – the eye of the universe, unblinking, curious, still.

The longer you look, the less you know. The abstract patterns around her start to feel familiar – like they’re whispering something back. They move, even though they don’t. It's not just art. It’s an invitation. To explore the space between wonder and self. To question what is watching who.

Artist's Note

“Nebula Gaze was born from one of those half-sleep moments—where thoughts unravel and space feels stretchy. I was thinking about how we always talk about ‘looking into space,’ but what if space is looking into us? This eye became that mirror. It’s dreamy and electric and slightly haunting. I wanted it to feel both comforting and unknowable—like the best parts of the universe. I hope she makes you feel a bit more connected to the vastness inside and out.”
