Artist's Note
As we sat together, each of us lost in our own creative worlds, we knew this piece had to embody something more. Something luminous. Something alive. We wanted the iris to radiate, a spectrum of colour unfurling in perfect, hypnotic rings. With each stroke on the digital canvas, we layered light and depth, making the eye pulse with an almost otherworldly glow. Blues and greens bled into yellows and reds, weaving a rainbow that felt less like paint and more like pure energy.
We debated the arcs surrounding the eye. Should they be subtle or exaggerated? In the end, we chose bold, sweeping lines to pull the gaze inward, framing the eye as a portal rather than just an image. The background melted into soft pastel blurs, adding to the dreamlike quality. Like a memory slipping between reality and fantasy.
To us, this was more than just an eye. It was perception itself, an open invitation to inspiration. Was it a reflection of the soul? A doorway into thought? Maybe both. Maybe neither. But as we stared into it, caught in its depth, one thing became certain. This was a vision that would linger, long after the last digital brushstroke had settled.
