PsEyeFlow #21 - Celestial Vision (Silk Posters)

Bold yet delicate, Perceptual Mirage presents a single eye suspended in a dreamy whirl of pastel motion — an image that feels like it’s half-remembered from a lucid dream. The iris glows with a soft rainbow gradient, from warm yellows to cool blues, like a spectrum of thoughts caught mid-shift. Its sharp lashes contrast the smooth background of flowing marble patterns, making the eye seem both watchful and serene. There’s something impossible to pin down here — a fleeting emotion, or maybe a glimpse into how we see ourselves when no one else is looking. It's an artwork that doesn’t tell you what it means... it quietly asks.

Artist's Note. Here I produced an eye that would surely draw attention – a round shape with a dreamy pastel whirl in the centre. The eye itself has rainbow gradient where the colour in yellows transitioning to blues representing openness, embracing. Black, thinner eylashes arch dramatically, giving that sense of depth and focus at the area around the eye. The background design was inspired by marbling and the movement of lines gives the audience a feeling that something is always shifting; perception cannot be captured; emotions cannot be described. With colours and patterns as with patterns and shapes, it is possible to draw meaning in terms of vision or vision-ary and explorations of the self. : This could also perhaps be read as a complex of the contingency of human existence – and in relation to the title, it ties the eye as concept of perception with what is asserted by the work as a whole. The general idea gives people more to think about not only the images they are being shown but also how one interprets what lies in front of them, which adds to others possibly meanings.
