Artist's Note

So this one’s defo one of the more vibrant and intense ones I’ve made. I kinda wanted to see what would happen if an eye could actually hold a whole rainbow storm inside it—and this is what came out. All those lines bursting from the centre like light rays feel a bit like thoughts or feelings just radiating out, uncontrolled but beautiful. The mix of colours wasn’t planned too much, I just kept adding till it started feelin’ right—like a proper kaleidoscope you can get lost in.

And yeah, that little white dove (some might say butterfly but I kinda like that it’s vague) sitting there on the edge of the pupil—it just felt like it needed a soft touch to break up all the noise. Something light and quiet, like freedom or peace… or maybe change? Depends on how you see it really.

I left the background pitch black on purpose—it makes all the colour pop and almost tricks your eye into thinkin’ it’s glowing. Feels like a bit of a contrast between chaos and calm, light and void, that sorta thing. Not gonna lie, it kinda makes me stop and stare every time I look at it.

Maybe it’s about perception, maybe it’s just a colourful eye. Up to you.
