Artist’s Note – PsEyeFlow #16

In this bright creation, the two biggest ornaments are the eye in the centre of the t-shirt back, which is black to stand out. The Iris is a wheel of colours looking like a rainbow to point at an inclusion principle and different approaches to a problem.

Around the eye, an occult wave of pastel colours – blue, pink, yellow – creates a flexible context where imagination is encouraged to travel.

As for the identities, the eye itself could have been design to symbolise sight and understanding, while the iris containing a myriad of emotions one could feel, and thoughts one could think of.

The circles around it could depict the craziness or the number of ideas that go about in one’s head. This image can be considered a symbol of coming out and expressing one’s personality, personal perception of the world.

The artwork puts viewers in a position to explore awareness as an individual as well as a society while forcing audiences to confront multiplicity of ideas and emotions in society.

The harmony between the eye and the multicoloured background could also pre-empt the balance between a clear vision and the very many different experiences of life
