There’s a tale whispered between the stars, of an eye that doesn’t just see the cosmos but remembers it. Nova Gaze is that memory.
In the center of the piece, the eye opens like a celestial engine mid-breath. Its pupil, a radiant abyss, holds the glow of a thousand suns, yet it's calm, as if it has seen supernovae burst and planets form, and still chose to rest in silence. The iris spirals in brilliant gold and deep ocean teal, not as decoration but as gravity; it draws your attention in, gently and unavoidably. The texture here isn't flat. It's alive. It flickers as if it's stitched together from nebulae and solar flares, a galactic code that only dreamers might decipher.
The eye is framed by sweeping waves of violet and magenta, almost like auroras curling over the eyelid. They move, not literally, but emotionally. The way light plays across them makes the eye feel like it’s blinking in slow motion, caught between one reality and another. And then there are the lashes, sharp like quills but fluid in placement, growing out from the horizon like abstract trees leaning into the cosmic wind.
Above and around the eye, things float. Objects? Symbols? Maybe emotions? They’re shaped like kites and diamonds, rendered in gem-like blues and yellows, suspended in a weightless drift. I don’t know where this came from, honestly. It wasn’t planned, wasn’t sketched; it just flowed straight from the pen. Maybe I was tired. Maybe I was too awake. But the colors, shapes, and vibe just... made sense. I remember looking at it when it was halfway done and thinking, “What even is this?” And I still don’t have an answer. All I know is, I didn’t make this to explain it. I made it to feel it.
